Valley Lakes Trail

GravelModerate

1.07 mi · Any vehicle

Main gravel road into the property — any vehicle. Scenic and hilly with stretches around the two lakes.

Hilly and long, but it's the main road so anything drives it fine. Beautiful views as you enter The Falls and circle the lakes. Keep an eye out for deer in the grasses, plus geese, ducks, turkey — even the occasional bobcat.

Lefarth Road

GravelModerate

0.48 mi · Any vehicle

Gravel access road from Lions Den Rd to the property gate — the correct way in. Don't trust GPS routes via Sunny Creek.

Please don't walk this — it's a road through residential property. Stopping briefly to look at the horses is fine.

Lake Pavilion Loop

GravelEasy

0.13 mi · Any vehicle

Short loop down to the lake pavilion. Big Lou (the bear carving) is on this loop.

Ridge Cabin Rd

GravelEasy

0.08 mi · Any vehicle

The short cabin spur. All five cabins sit on it with parking. Any vehicle.

Lions View Way

4WDEasy

0.79 mi · Truck or SUV

Climbs out of Coyote Canyon to the top of the ridge, then runs mostly flat with stellar views.

The climb up isn't bad. Some muddy spots after rain. Borderline easy/moderate.

Coyote Canyon

4WDEasy

0.55 mi · Truck or SUV

Long, mostly-flat trail that connects most of the rest of the network. Passes two ponds (not yet mapped).

Gets muddy in spots after rain.

The 13 Connector

4WDEasy

0.47 mi · Truck or SUV

Long flat trail connecting the main property to The 13. Gravel underfoot, so mud isn't bad — but fallen leaves can make it slick after rain.

Once you reach The 13, the trails get a little more interesting — but nothing crazy.

Treehouse Hill

4WDHard

0.11 mi · Truck or SUV

Short, steep hill to the treehouse. Worth it for the views over The 13.

The 13 Pavilion Hill

4WDHard

0.11 mi · Truck or SUV

Steep, short hill down to The 13 pavilion.

Dock Trail

4WDEasy

0.09 mi · Truck or SUV

Easy trail tying everything together at The 13.

Nature Barn Hill

4WDHard

0.07 mi · Truck or SUV

Short but steep gravel hill.

Shooting Shack Loop

4WDEasy

0.07 mi · Truck or SUV

Short loop out to the shooting shack with parking.

Horse Pasture Trail

WalkingModerate

0.71 mi · On foot only

Along the woodline of the horse pasture, out into the open field where the horses roam, and around to the small pond by Bates Farm Barn.

Rocky in spots. The hills back have some climb. Leans toward hard.

Sasquatch Trail

WalkingModerate

0.52 mi · On foot only

Fun route from the cabins to the lakes — woods, dam crossing, grassy hill overlooking the main lake, eventually meeting The 13 Connector. A little bit of everything.

Some steep climbs — leans toward hard in spots.

Bobcat Pass

WalkingEasy

0.49 mi · On foot only

Long ridgetop trail through nature-filled greenery. Beautiful walk.

Wear pants in spring/summer — gets a bit overgrown.

Buck Bottom

WalkingEasy

0.33 mi · On foot only

A peaceful nature-wonderland walk through the bottom of the valley. Green canopy overhead, tranquil vibe.

Small hill at the end where it connects to Coyote Canyon. Borderline easy/moderate.

Waterfall Loop

WalkingHard

0.29 mi · On foot only

Short but tough — steep down, steep back up. Best right after a rain when the small seasonal waterfall is actually running.

The waterfall is on the small side and only flows after rain — not really the namesake "Falls" of the property. My dad named it.

Camp Trail

WalkingModerate

0.28 mi · On foot only

Flat trail through the woods that points toward the off-property camp — don’t follow it past the property line. Gets overgrown and muddy in spots.

Brushhog is on the to-do list. Until then it’s a proper forest walk.

Bobcat Connector

WalkingHard

0.24 mi · On foot only

The hardest trail on the property — steep, rocky, overgrown in spots, muddy in others. A shortcut if you're up for it.

Not for the faint of heart. If you'd rather avoid it, take Bobcat Pass to Coyote Canyon around instead.

Dam Trail

WalkingModerate

0.10 mi · On foot only

Rocky hill down to The 13 dam.

Cabin Connector

WalkingHard

0.05 mi · On foot only

Steep but short connector from the cabins down to Lions View Way.

Short enough that it's not bad — but slippery after rain.

Pavilion Spur

WalkingEasy

0.03 mi · On foot only

Tiny flat spur connecting Lake Pavilion Loop to Sasquatch Trail.
